WV HOSA-Future Health Professionals


West Virginia is proud to say that during the 2016-2017 school year we had 1,183 secondary, 10 Middle School, 309 post-secondary, and 11 collegiate members. Supporting these members were 85 advisors and 270 alumni. West Virginia has a large demand for health care professionals in our state and encourage all middle school, secondary, post-secondary , and collegiate students who are considering a career in health care to join.

Membership dues are $20.

About HOSA-Future Health Professionals

HOSA-Future Health Professionals (HOSA) is a national student organization that provides a unique program of leadership development, motivation and recognition exclusively for secondary, postsecondary, collegiate and adult students enrolled in health science classes. HOSA is 100% health care!

HOSA’s competitive events program, aligned with the National Healthcare Skills Standards, helps students graduate and be career and college ready. HOSA offers six competitive event categories:

The mission of HOSA is to enhance the delivery of compassionate, quality health care by providing opportunities for knowledge, skills and leadership development of all health science students, therefore, helping students to meet the needs of the health care community.
